  • At your initial consultation, a case history will be taken. This will cover your reason for visiting and a medical history.
  • Do please bring any X-ray or MRI imaging Scans and any accompanying letters, if these are available to you, as they would very useful in our assessment of your condition.
  • Please also bring a list of any medication that you may be taking.
  • In order to treat you effectively you will often need to undress to your underwear as we need to be able to clearly assess the area visually as well as feel and manipulate affected zones. If you feel uncomfortable getting undressed, you may wear comfortable clothing which will allow you to move freely.
  • Following your initial treatment, you will be provided with a Personal Treatment Plan, which will often include hydrotherapy and an exercise program for you to follow at home.
  • You may bring a chaperone with you to any treatment if you so wish.
  • If treatment is for a child aged 18 or under, a chaperone is essential to give written consent and witness the examination. This must be either a parent or guardian.
  • Treatment times are variable according to the type of treatment that you are having – please ask at time of booking for more information.
  • If you cannot attend your session, please give 24 hours’ notice, in order to avoid being charged a 50% cancellation fee.
  • Payment is by cash or cheque only.
  • If you are covered by private insurance, please check that you can claim for Osteopathic treatment. We will issue you a receipt for your treatments and you can claim the money back from your insurers.
