I’m Registered! Out with the old and in with the new.

The General Osteopathic Council have issued registered osteopaths with  a new logo to display on all media and advertising. The old ‘Safe-in-our-hands’ logo is no longer in use.  michelle-finnigan-im-registered-mark-6546The new logo is attached to this blog for you to see. The logo used by clinics says: “We’re registered” in place of “I’m registered.”

What does this mean for you as a patient?

By law, osteopaths must be registered with the General Osteopathic Council. This means that not just anybody can call themselves an osteopath! Seeing this logo at your osteopath or clinic can give you reassurance that Osteopathy is a safe and regulated profession, with strict guidelines that need to be adhered to.

Registration for me means that:

  • I am a regulated health professional
  • I am trained and qualified
  • I am required to keep my knowledge and skills up to date
  • I am required to have professional indemnity insurance
  • I welcome your feedback on the care I provide
